About me.

Natalie Wilson. A 24 year old MA Independent Study student at De Montfort University, Leicester.

I have mental health problems, but they’ve changed me in ways I wouldn’t take back. My experiences have fuelled my passion to help others. Some people suffer from mental illness and want to get away from it, others are impacted upon differently and it becomes something they are passionate about making a difference to. I am the latter. Neither is right or wrong.

I graduated in Journalism, Media and Communications in 2016. This course gave me a passion to get back into blogging. In my studies I have developed interests in other areas and built on my skills. Eventually I would like to go into NHS communications, work within a charity, or continue in research.

I have wrote for ‘Time to Change’ and ‘Selfharm.co.uk’ and currently write for ‘The Inflectionist’.

You will be attributed of course. Also, if you would be interested in perhaps recording a couple of audio ‘blog posts’ on your phone? We are getting together quite a few to embed alongside interviews. Please get in touch via my blog or on sophie_boyden@hotmail.co.uk xxx
